COST OF DELAY

What does another
month mean?

Use this cost of project delay calculator to make the assumptions visible. Estimate the added delivery cost and the benefit deferred while a programme is delayed.

Compare the combined exposure with your own threshold, in GHS. Leave blank for a neutral result.

Nothing is sent to PAGL automatically. You can choose to include a summary in an enquiry.

ILLUSTRATIVE EXPOSURE

Put a number
to the delay.

Enter the two monthly assumptions and a delay of up to 120 months to see the estimate. You can enter zero for a cost or benefit that does not apply.

How the estimate works

Combined exposure = (additional monthly delivery cost + monthly benefit deferred) × months of delay. Deferred benefit is shown separately from additional spend; it is not necessarily permanently lost revenue. Avoid counting the same amount in both inputs. This simple planning estimate excludes financing, compounding, recovery costs and non-financial effects.
